Abstract
Mystical Romanticism is an interdisciplinary approach that emerged from the combination of components of the Romantic school with the manifestations of mysticism. Sohrab Sepehri's poetry is a manifestation of mystical Romanticism; and components such as introversion, a personal view of phenomena, and unity with existence can be considered the most prominent manifestations of individuality in his poems. This form of individuality, which does not mean withdrawal from existence, but rather means conscious and intuitive presence, can be examined from a semiotic perspective and in connection with Romanticism in Sepehri's poems. The question of this research is what is the relationship between individuality and mysticism in Sepehri's poetry, and how is this relationship reflected in his poetic language and ontological view? To this end, in this research, by selecting a selection of Sohrab Sepehri's poems, samples that show the most prominent manifestations of the connection between individuality and mysticism have been analyzed. This article seeks to show, based on components such as personal experience and a new look at phenomena, introversion, isolation, and individuality, how Sohrab Sepehri used these characteristics to create a unique language in the path of self-knowledge and mystical practice. This article uses an analytical-descriptive method and a semiotic approach to analyze Sepehri's poems. The results of the research show that the components of individuality and introversion in Sepehri's poems are not only a reflection of his mystical concerns, but also represent a form of his personal practice.
