Abstract

It is not the case that the "Declaration" chapter of the "Third Part" of Sakkaki's Miftah al-Uloom book is a faithful summary of the opinions of the leader of rhetoric, Abdul Qahir Jarjani, or even took its name from it; it was actually Sakkaki who has made the name, limits, and logical basis of this knowledge. Sakkaki established himself in this technique, and by adding the discussion of implication as a logical entry to a group of topics that he called "Albayan," according to his posterity, he became the "inventor" of this approach to those topics. It is said that Sakkaki took the taste out of expression by bringing logic to it. However, what Sakkaki's logical action is and how it is have not been properly investigated. In this study, after reviewing the documents that prove that Sakkaki is the founder of the science of expression, the entry of Dalali of the science of expression in the Miftah al-Uloom book will be examined, and it will be faced with questions arising from its methodology and structure; because the departure that Sakkaki expresses from the discussion of triple implications, including conformity, guarantee, and commitment to the pillars of science, requires a clarifying explanation. Also, in its essence and in comparison with the logical basis that the author makes as a preparation for science, it has problems that the current research will explain.
