Abstract

The concept of metaphor has always been the focus of thinkers in the western and eastern tradition. In general, in metaphorical reflections, its aesthetic aspect in the ancient world, and its epistemological aspect in the new era, especially in the West and in various fields of human sciences, have been considered by thinkers. In addition to these two dominant approaches in the old and new periods, a third approach should be mentioned, which the present research will discuss and explain. Explaining that among the philosophers of the 20th century, Martin Heidegger, in the light of his special interpretation of the world of Dasein in existence, one of the most important central concepts of his thought, is engaged in analyzing the category of language and its related possibilities., he tries to break away from the pre-existing language standards in order to get rid of the metaphysical language and the structure of the idea of linguistic meanings. Accordingly, Heidegger challenges the conventional perception of metaphor and generally avoids the duality of real language and figurative language. In his opinion, thinking in its true and original meaning is seeing and hearing; Not in the figurative sense that imposes the common understanding of metaphor and based on this, he interprets the metaphor in the conventional language in its objective and true meaning. In order to explain his ontological approach to the concept of metaphor, Heidegger describes the phenomenon and becoming a phenomenon and the unity between the truth and the appearance of a phenomenon.
